The authors:

Charlotte J. Fiell, born in 1965, studied in Florence and London and later trained with Sothebys Educational Studies in London.

Peter M. Fiell, born in 1958, was also trained at Sothebys in London and studied design at St. Martins College of Art and Design in London, where he now teaches as a guest lecturer.
Both authors run a design consultancy in London. They have organised a large number of exhibitions and written many articles and design books, including "Modern Chairs" and "Charles Rennie Mackintosh".
